Here's a step-by-step guide on how to schedule a mortgage loan payment via CardUp.
Step 1: Recipient
Upon log in to your CardUp account, click on "Create Payment" section.
Select "Mortgage Loan" as the payment type.
On the Recipient section, proceed to click on "+ Add a new recipient" to fill in the recipient details.
To fill in the recipient details, please find guideline as below:-

Date of last loan repayment |
As stated on your last repayment date. If your loan duration is for 30 years, there will be a specific last date of payment indicated on your agreement. Example: 12/12/2063 |

Note: If your recipient bank is not part of the drop down list, do click on "add bank here" and fill in the details according to your supporting document. And you will be required to upload a copy of supporting document that shows the recipient bank details.

Step 2: Amount
You will be directed to "Tell us more about your payment" section in which you're required to fill in the payment amount details.

For your recipient to identify your payment. Best to include them as in this format (your first name, mortgage loan account number) Maximum 20 characters. |

The total fee that's charged per payment setup. |
Step 3: Document
Next on the "Document" section, to help us verify your payment, we need official documents which should include but not be limited to the following:-
- Mortgage Loan Agreement which should include:-
- Loan Type
- Loan Holder Name
- Loan Account Number/ Loan Repayment Account Number
- Loan Payment Amount
- Loan Term or Period
- Note: Payment made on behalf of parents, siblings, children, or spouse is allowed.

Note: If the above information is unavailable on your mortgage loan agreement, you may provide us with additional documents such as:-
- The latest copy of your loan account statement.
- Confirmation letter or email from the bank.
**Please ensure the document uploaded doesn't exceed 25MB or the maximum upload limit is 5.
Step 4: Review
You will be able to see all your payment request on the "Review" page before proceeding to create the payment request.
Do note:-
- As a safeguard measurement, you will receive an OTP via SMS to verify your payment. Please note that your credit card will be charged RM4 as a pre-authorization, which will then be automatically refunded back to your originating credit card in a few days.
- We will be in touch with you via email registered before the payment charge date should we require more information to verify your payment request.
Step 5: Payments Dashboard
Once you've submitted "Create Payment" request, you will be directed to your payments dashboard where all your payment requests will be reflected in the "Upcoming" tab.
It will be under "Pending" status as an indicator that your request will be reviewed by our Compliance team and they will reach out within 1 business days prior to payment charge date if we require more information.
Additionally, you will also receive an email notification:-
- Once payment has been successfully setup
- You will receive a copy of a payment receipt on the payment charge date (3 business days prior to the selected due date), only if your card is successfully charged.
